Happy August everyone! Today I walked 5 miles in solidarity with striking workers and then spent the afternoon chopping wood to convert into charcoal for water filters to help alleviate the water crisis in central Appalachia. What did other subscribers get up to today, or this week?

I did 2 miles of slogging (20lbs in the pack, another 20 in leg/arm weights, increasing the pack 5lbs a week), followed by portable bike repair during kids sports, then the farmers market to help cart the donations off to the food pantry.
Also (unrelated to the fitness part) met some folks from a county bee stewards group! They were showing off diy gadgets like a bee waterer (bucket with some holes drilled to prevent overflow, with some stuff floating in it for them to land on) and a beeswax melter. Unrelated other than being at the farmers market, just cool stuff.
