Yup. The last and final time I ever used booking, the host had double booked, but we didn't find out until the day of arrival. Spent double our budget to replace with 2 separate bookings to cover the 2 weeks we had planned for.

Booking offered no refund, but a $20 credit on our next booking with them. Crap company, will never use again.

One of the many reasons not to reserve with an aggregator and always book directly.

Sounds a lot like social media etc. not being responsible for what their users post. That one relatively harmless sounding piece of legislation that's been biting us so hard for the past - almost 20 years I guess.
