We really can't sell for shit lol. And when we do sell, it feels like it's always about 15m or under.

It makes me wonder if the problem is that Arsenal is bad at finding people who want to buy players, or if it's bad at convincing players to leave. If it's the first one, then the sales team isn't good at their jobs. But, maybe the club creates such a positive environment where players feel like family, that they don't want to leave even if they're not going to play.

I think it's in part (at least for the past few years) just because we've had a pretty rapid rise in ability as a club, and some bad luck / bad foresight with player injuries. The players we've wanted to sell have always either been players that everyone knew weren't good enough for us anymore and thus would have to be moved on (Tavares, Lokonga, etc.), injury prone (Tierney, ESR, Tomiyasu), or both (Jesus, Nelson). Or getting old and running out of contract in the case of Trossard. We also don't tend to want to sell players as much while they can still offer us something on the pitch, so they stay around even after they are eclipsed by better players.
Also our wages are pretty high on account of being the Premier League champions and all that, plus players don't really want to leave London.

Sure, that all makes sense. But Chelsea has many of the same problems. They were champions more recently than Arsenal, and were Champions League winners. They've somehow made of business of selling players who weren't good enough to play for Chelsea for tens of millions. In the 2025/2026 season they made 300m euros in player sales. They're somehow even getting tens of millions from clubs outside the Premier League who are notoriously stingy.
The fitness issues I can understand. If a player can't play for Arsenal because they're injured too often, it will really limit the number of clubs willing to cough up a big transfer fee to sign them. But, just because a player isn't good enough for Arsenal shouldn't mean it's hard to sell them. There are plenty of clubs that are full of players that aren't good enough to play for Arsenal, and many of Arsenal's rejects would be important players for them. For some like Reiss Nelson or Fabio Vieira there should be a bidding war. Maybe the transfer fee won't be that high, but there should be a lot of interested clubs.
