After the Reddit mods were talking about the admins trying to restrict the sub, I came over here to see if there was an alternate and found someone had already made one. I been posting over here ever since lol.
Just something to keep in mind! Sometimes people will create communities and then leave, making the place visible but with zero moderation which can be problematic as you can imagine.
I’ll start throwing posts in the currently existing one and see what happens!
One thing that my mom did (I didn't have kids) is not be completely silent when the baby is sleeping. That's how you create light sleepers. Make noise, have the TV on, play music, talk normally, don't whisper. She ran a daycare for about 10 years and that was one of the things she did when the babies were sleeping, was just have regular noise levels. Made a judge difference. I sleep like the dead and noises generally does not wake me up.
Have someone take care of you while you care for the babe in the early days. I loved having a caddy filled with snacks and water and such near me while I was stuck under the baby. Sleep when you can, that’s much easier said than done though haha.
GUESS WHO FELL OFF A BRIDGE AT THE DEAD BABY DOWNHILL AFTERPARTY THE OTHER NIGHT AND BROKE HER FUCKING ANKLE HARDCORE LIKE EVEN WORSE THAN NORMAL BROKEN ANKLES AND IS NOW STUCK IN THE HOSPITAL AWAITING TWO OR THREE MORE SURGERIES AND UNABLE TO WALK LMAO
Hey everyone, new here, anybody else have adenomyosis? And are suffering through menopause? Ugh! It's better now since I've had a utern artery embolization but before that I bled continuously for 10 months. I'm 54 and STILL getting my period somehow. I feel like that's really old to still be getting my period! I'm very over it. But right now I'm camping in a cabin by a lake with my wife so that's nice.

That does sound very lovely! I hope you're having the best time!
I'm just starting perimenopause myself so I don't have much to contribute there, so hopefully others will chime in on that. It's a subject I've been slightly avoiding out of anxiety, but need to dive in and learn more.
Adopted a kitty, hatched a shiny eevee, and broke my toe all in the same week. Been an interesting series of ups and downs this week. Mostly good though.

Hi, I'm new to Lemmy. Getting the lay of the land and what not. Work is boring, hope you all are well.

Ah are you the one who created the Fauxmoi community?
blkvvvs@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 35d
Nope, I think it was the mod, santana@sh.itjust.works.

Sick! I found it through your posting and will happily post away in there now that I know it exists lol
Though if those mods are inactive, maybe we should make our own?
blkvvvs@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 35d
Yeah, maybe. I don't have much mod experience personally, except for a bunch of old folks on Facebook but they are kinda low maintenance lol.

Every baby is different and it’s going to be ok!

The days are long but the years are short <3

Waited an hour and a half to see the dentist only to be told I'm basically fucked until I see the periodontist in October. Yaaaaay.

Left side of my mouth can't handle any cold whatsoever. And aches occasionally so yeah. But I'm also in pain over all from unknown something.
