Open Source Is Hobbling Itself Over Generative AI

"Hobbling itself" by not using slop

I agree with the general semtiment - quality checks are important, tool use is not.

But this mostly boils down to more "cacth the AI wave or go extinct" nonsense.

AI code only exists because the old ways of making open source software work just fine.

We (open source contributors) don't need to accept AI remixes of our own prior work until we're convinced it is safe and ready.
