People prefer stories written by AI – especially when told they’re written by a human

People gave the highest ratings to stories generated by AI that they were told had been written by a human, and were unable to tell the difference between human- and AI-created stories, according to new research published by Cambridge University Press.

This is absolutely garbage research. They were provided exactly one story written by some unknown creative writing artist and one story written by ai and less than 500 each study and they make this broad based bullshit headline?

Not to mention the so called doctor has an agenda for AI…

AI writing tends to be clearer, more direct and easier to process. By contrast, human-written stories, are often more subtle and complex. For example, the AI versions of our stories usually stated their themes explicitly, rather than allowing readers to infer meaning from the characters’ words and actions.

So, research shows, humans are getting to lazy to think on their own and want to consume passive entertainment.

That's fair. I was to optimistic
