Japanese studio FuRyu is baffled: their anime horror ANOMALITH suddenly blew up overseas 😳

Before the July 31 demo, the game was wishlisted mostly by Japanese players. After the trial dropped, US players took the lead, and Americans now make up over 26% of the studio's X followers. FuRyu is genuinely confused, asking Western fans: "How did you even find us?!"

It's a third-person survival shooter with Showa-era aesthetics and liminal spaces straight out of The Backrooms. You play as Reona Minazuki of the Anti-Anomaly Bureau, hunting for a missing friend, blasting monsters, and unlocking weird abilities.
