I feel like this story might just be to get media for their game. It's pretty much a story about something that happened on Reddit - which pretends Reddit is a 100% honest, and totally not manufactured place. People lie all the time on Reddit. But also, how many clues would a fan following the games development have? Were there other guesses... Feels like there are lots of plot holes here.
Dev isn't even certain they didn't mention it somewhere. For all I know they live stream development progress. It's such a nothing burg.
...also the article its self was "aided by nexos.ai".

Probably true, but anyone trusting an ai company to not scrape user data is ridiculously delusional, regardless of how the company portray themselves.

To be fair, you need a very high IQ to realize even the meme I am using here was started by a fake story on Reddit.
This isn't the first news site I've seen posted on Lemmy that basically turns a Twitter post or Reddit thread into a whole article. And the AI-generatef summary and AI-generated images don't inspire much confidence either.

It amazes me that anyone would trust any Capitalist entity/Corp. It doesn't even matter if this one was more of a marketing stunt. I mean ffs, there's no honor among thieves, and everything from any of these lying/scheming entities are purely selfish and will harm you, and other people..
