I swear my linux install has two ro three different clipboards fighting for dominance.

It probably does! CTRL+C CTRL+V goes into one clipboard, selecting to copy and middle clicking to paste goes into another!

I actually really like the 2 clipboard thing :3 I used it many times where I wanted to copy paste without overwriting my clipboard contents

The only downside is that I forget that windows is too dumb to have the middle click one and end up with that stupid scrolling thing.

It has two by default, but maybe you added the third one somehow.

I got a gamer mouse not to play games, but so I could use the extra buttons for cut, copy, and paste (which I use a lot); and for Super+Left and Super+Right to tile windows (which I forget to use).

On the keyboard I still use Ctrl+Insert for copy, Shift+Delete for cut, and Shift+Insert for paste.
