For a time it seemed like Newcastle were never going to allow this to happen, so although we've known about it for a while, I'm glad we actually managed to get it done. And for a decent price as well.
I'm a bit concerned that an Arsenal team that was one of the best when it comes to red and yellow cards might now be getting a lot more of them. But, you can't really argue with the stats. He's excellent in certain areas, and they're in areas that complement our existing players.
He might need some time to be de-Newcastleified though.
