Okay, so if I need to take a quick note of something, I can either navigate to the appropriate program, wait for it to open, select new note, wait for it to crash, reopen the program, wait for the computer to freeze, reboot, log back in, open the program and then type in what I want.

Or I can scribble something on the back of a piece of paper with a pen.
