Super keen! This is one community I was missing from leaving Reddit especially with iOS 17 Beta being out.

I was disappointed to see the Reddit sub back after 2 days…

Hey, thanks for creating this community. Can I be the first person on this community to say "I'm something of a developer myself" please? LOL

I'm currently running iOS 17, watchOS 10, Sonoma, xCode 15 and iPadOS 17 and so far, everything seems to be working really well.

Nice! Same here, I've pretty much installed every beta available, except for the HomePod ones, which seem to be invite only.

HomePods can be updated. You need to delete the iOS 16 beta profile, unenroll HomePods from beta updates, then re-enroll them. This ended up showing the 17 beta for me.

The OG HomePod did require a profile. I found that on betaprofiles.

Any major differences with the new HomePod updates? I didn't update mine since I'm not aware of any changes that would make it worth it.

I don’t know on those, I don’t own any HomePods. I also steer clear of the AppleTV beta as if that messes up I don’t have a backup device.

Same here! Are you worried about bricking your watch?

rarkgrames@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y

No not really. I’ve never had any major issues with any betas so I’m fairly confident I’ll be ok when I install them.
