I thought it was going to be some interesting misunderstanding about how the Japanese consider fruits as luxury gifts while Western culture sees them as daily life food. But it's a bad joke about melons and boobs...

1 M JPY = 6 275 USD

the price isn't the issue, it's the delicate dedication it took to produce that crown melon. I am not so sure Australia comprehends the amount of dedication that it takes to produce one of these melons.
This isn't a typical melon like watermelons or pumpkins, this was hand breed, hand raised, hand nurtured, environment controlled, etc.. This top of the top fruit.
A Greece equivalence, it's as if Persephone herself gifts you a sacred pomegranate, or if Xi Jiping hands you an immortality peach.
It is that grave of a “considerate gesture” she made.

I didn't imply the price was an issue, I'm just converting to a currency most readers would understand better.

If the Japanese spent less time growing one fruit, they might still have an empire. So there’s that.

“I don’t know why we’re still talking about this.”
Considering who owns most Australian media I have a few guesses.

perhaps. I am finding about it now, but my humor is quite dark.
This only shows to me there will be no military trust between the two, but the business partners may expat.
