I wonder who starts on RW. Saka and Madueke both played a decent amount in the WC (though in the former case very arguably not enough), so I doubt they'll start today, but at the same time they must be pushing to start by the City game right? If it's not either of them, it'll probably be one of Tzolis, Nelli, or Jesus out of position unless we plan on playing Fabio Vieira or Nelson in an actual game before we sell them, or if we plan on Dowman starting the fucking community shield lol
I wonder what they're trying to achieve with the Hincapie - Gabriel - Salmon - Julienne back line.
When there's one player selected who isn't normally a starter it's a good way to test their performance and help them to learn to play with the rest of the "standard" back line. When it's both RCB and RB it doesn't seem as useful.
If Calafiori can remain healthy, he really has the possibility of being a wild card that other teams just can't plan for. The trick might be that his movement could also upset Arsenal's defensive shape, but if other players learn to move to cover for him, he always seems to turn up in interesting places.
I just saw Calafiori going wandering and it was Merino of all people who ended up covering for him at left back.
