Just don't use any of those bullshit apps. I've never used an app to order any food, never installed any food seller's app. Still, I am able to get food from any of the food places around with ease. Their "rewards" are a waste of time and your privacy.

So much this. Also, never use your phone number anywhere. Not the grocery store, pet store, gas pump, barber shop. If you can’t say no for whatever reason, use 867-5309.

If you're in the Netherlands and they ask for a mobile number, so far 0612345678 has always worked for me.

McDonald's likely has far more to gain from me than do the FBI

Why would they need a large file on someone who hasn’t purchased there for over a decade?
Are they going to put me in with the sewer people after The Franchise War?

crazy. companies used to spend billions of dollars to market research companies for the data that consumers are now willingly, gladly handing over to companies directly for the cost of every 12th frappuccino free
