Transfer account to makertube?

I created an account on another instance. When I go to makertube my options are to log in or request an account. If I request an account with the same email, it says it already exists.

I don't have any info on the original instance, so there's no data (videos, subs) i need to transfer; i just want to use that same e-mail address for makertube.

suggestions?
