When order lead times ballooned from two months to two years during COVID-19, it created a massive, long-term problem for the bike industry. Even today, nobody can tell you exactly how much excessive stock there still is.

Exactly this, where are the discounts and deals then? Shops still asking full MSRP for 3 year old bikes near me, like you're just sitting on them???

Seems the entire Industry recognized that COVID was causing an outdoor boom, but didn't squirrel any of that money away or plan for the inevitable bust that followed.
