Undoubtedly, but it was never meant to convince anyone other than Trump, because Trump is a delusional narcissist, so if he believes something, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says.
The US is stuffed to the rafters with blinkered fools who fail/refuse to face that fact, much less the plainly obvious consequences of it, but Israel isn't similarly hamstrung - they know full well that it just doesn't matter how obvious their lies are - if they can get Trump to repeat them, their job is done.
