I agree with that. Especially on this level. I think it would actually be embarrassing to try to blame it on something like this.
You would also think at high profile performances that require flawless execution for the sake of your reputation, you would play the whole thing safe: look over everyone's heads, even at fixed points of the wall or something else non-descript behind them, and to just really not let a single thing break your concentration...
I am not a professional singer and I am well aware of this advice, and I have used it when speaking before classrooms and such before, and always found it worked pretty flawlessly... No idea how you are a professional singer performing at the BAFTAs and it's like, "Yeah, I'm really nervous, how about I start looking into the faces of famous people while performing? That'll keep me on point..!"

Wait is she blaming the audience for a bad performance…. Lol wtf is this… your job as an entertainer is to win over your crowd not fkn blame them when they aren’t feeling your artistic expression or whatever…. Sometimes people won’t like the music you play but they can respect the work ethic… just a little advice to all performers out there… being universally liked is and never will be a thing… just do your best, put it alll out there with everything you got to earn that bag, leave nothing on the table… this is the perfect example of the younger generation giving absolutely nothing and expecting everything
