Sassy screechie alert! This feisty (and cute) fledgling Eastern Screech-Owl arrived in our Raptor Trauma Clinic last month with head trauma and dehydration. It's unusual to see such a young screech-owl this late in the year, typically the result of late nesting or even a second clutch in the season. He's recovering well and should be ready to return to the wild very soon - his outspread wings are how he makes himself look bigger, a warning sign to keep our distance!
