My mom used to put margarine on both slices before the mustard on one side and the Miracle Whip on the other. The margarine keeps the mustard and Miracle Whip from soaking through the bread, while it sits in the bag on the shelf for four hours.
Maybe it also helps to keep the bread from sticking somehow, because I only had that happen when I ate at a friend's house.
Because nowhere in Europe can you find cheap processed foods. Its all organic free range meats and bread made daily from the wheat ground at the local windmill. The cheese is, of course, homemade but also aged 20 years and will make you see god.

Americans see a sandwich, a European sees a picture with no actual bread, no actual cheese and no actual meat.
