Reform UK unveils massive £50bn welfare overhaul to scrap PIP

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/reform-uk-policies-welfare-benefits-pip-universal-credit-b3033702.html

"Guys, we're going to save 50 billion buy cutting all support to disabled people"

For what purpose? If you remove all welfare, what is the purpose of the government? Who would those savings benefit? The answer is tax breaks for the rich.

The only people who would vote for Reform are the ultra rich, the ultra stupid, or the ultra racist. "Yes, I'd like the party that actively promises to make everything worse."

Reminder for people who don't follow the situation closely, Reform UK is the MAGA party of the UK.

The Tories are also the MAGA party. And Restore. And increasingly Labour.

Nah, fuck off with that both sides shenanigans. Labour has been betraying constituents but not all evils are equal.

Sure. The party that wanted to abolish juries isn’t as bad as the parties that didn’t.

So it seems they're not even doing what they advertise - they're supposed to be the anti immigration party, so cutting welfare to immigrants or racial minorities before cutting welfare to the disabled would make more sense. Yet they proudly announce this, first? Idk if i was a politician i wouldn't declare war on everyone at once

You're exactly right.

Writing in The Telegraph, Mr Jenrick said: “We will not pretend this is painless.

He won't be the one feeling the pain, he is openly admitting that he is setting out to cause pain to British citizens.

Not surprised. I sat on the train with a couple of guys who'd been to a conference of like-minded twats and the statement "why should parents get benefits when they have disabled kids? They knew the risk" is still burned into my brain.

This reminds me of when the government cut benefit payments for at home caretakers so it pushed a lot of people to get services that are waaay more expensive.
