I like the attention to detail, like the fact they all teleported in an order that seems to correspond to how much mana each person has, with Nanahoshi who doesn't have any being first, and Sylphie and Rudeus being last. Also Sylphie looking worried more than anything, and clinging to Rudy's arm, when she's looking down over the edge, because she has a trauma from falling from the sky. Or how Rudy's eye lights up with mana in preparation for a fight when he's asked about man-god.

I wonder what's up with the white glow under the arch because it wasn't just Rudy, Sylphie had it too. Does man-god has some influence over her too? We can see some kind of alien looking figure on the relief. What was his role in the story told on the walls of Chaos Breaker? This episode brought us a lot of new questions.

I certainly didn't expect Nanahoshi's illness to turn so bad so fast. That was a lot of blood. Was it just because of illness? Or some effect flying fortress has on magic? I hope she survives. She's one of the more interesting characters in the whole series.

To tease you the glow is related to something the two of them have in common, but you wouldn't know that just from looking at them.

As for Nanahoshi she experienced a rapid decline inline with what she's actually sick with. Nobody knows what's going on cause it's been a very very long time since anyone came down with it

Lung cancer?

GreyCat@piefed.social · 2 pts · 4d (2 replies)

Ooh nice catches on those details !
Damn that means Zanoba has the worst pool of mana, poor lad T-T

He did struggle with basics of sculpting using magic in season 2, so that tracks

GreyCat@piefed.social · 3 pts · 4d

Those have more to do with manipulation of magic, more than amount of mana I would guess. But yeah, the dude struggles with magic.

I can't help but wonder that man god might be speaking with Sylphie so that she would be accepting of being part of a Harem, that could explain her unnatural weird sentences about polygamy

One thing I am confused about is: when did Elinalise have Sylphie's father / mother? After the memory loss, right?

What were the circumstances back then? Or is this approaching spoiler territory?

Traister101@lemmy.today · 6 pts · 4d

Just like now she had to have sex and occasionally she got pregnant and gave birth. There wasn't anything especially notable about Sylphys father, Elinalise just doesn't want her behavior to reflect badly on her children, or grandchildren so she doesn't stick around or visit them.

Good cough to start off the episode lol, no foreshadowing at all.

What was that about naming Rudy and Syplhie's son ? It seems to be something about Sylphie since the void servant whispered something to Perugius when Sylphie was introducing herself, or it could about their specific union ? not sure.
Smells like some important hidden information right there.

Did Nanahoshi just react poorly to mana, or was it specifically to the mana used inside the fortress 🤔

devaly@ani.social · 2 pts · 4d (2 replies)

Might be related to man god? I think I remember something about him showing interest on Rudy's son

GreyCat@piefed.social · 2 pts · 4d (1 reply)

Oh I don't remember that.
But wouldn't Perugius hate the man-god same as Orsted ? If it was related to Man-God why would he want to name the son, you know ?

devaly@ani.social · 2 pts · 4d

Well, he could name it like one of Elon Musk kids, or Clown Ass Fucker 69 smth

I'm wondering if it's lung cancer. In a lot of other media, healing spells don't do anything to cancer spells since they still have the same DNA as the rest of the body

peak fiction

Best episode of the season.

How do they know about Man God, who is him?

Rudy s mana reminds Laplace's.

Magic is somehow messed up in the castle.

What should happen if Rudy uses his mana up there?

It was very hard to teleport Rudy, is his mana that heavy?

Nanahoshi got some Tuberculosis

Hey isn't this that one where the guy who died was a pedo who got pitted before dying?
