On the flip side, if he just did it three times more and instead funneled that money to something helpful, he could solve the entire homelessness crisis in San Francisco for a year. Do it for three years and he’d still be way ahead in comparison to the tax, and likely salvage his reputation in the process.
The election is in November. And the anti-tax commercials are already broadcasting here right now.
Their message (paraphrasd): "if we leave town you'll never be able to price shop, and small businesses will be so effected, because fewer people will go inside their stores to look at the high prices, to confirm we have the lowest prices...".
