You got Muslims invading the coup belt just under the Sahel, Muslims doing modern day slavery of Africans in Mauritania, you got Arabs killing Non-Arabs (as many as 70,000 a few months ago) in East Africa, civil wars, Muslim terrorists up and down the continent, endemic corruption everywhere, trillions donated from the west but no real progress, and you're surprised no one is jumping at the opportunity to invest in this golden opportunity ?
Even golden money hands China has pulled out:
“Chinese banks lent so much in the past decade but are becoming more risk-averse because not every sum has been repaid,” Yue told Semafor. The lenders are feeling increased “pressure on their balance sheets and do not want so many non-performing or unpaid loans,” she said.
If the author of the article feels so strongly he should send his own money over there and watch it disappear for decades then I'll go bark at him about his lack of investment
