I feel bad for her kid but this woman can kiss my ass if she wants my pity. You did this to everybody, including your own kid, you shrew.

If I were her kid I'd never speak to her again

"This whole notion that it's woke Democrats that are turning our kids into being trans is idiotic," she says. So is the argument that doctors are driven by profit. "It's kind of laughable because the population is so small," she says. "So why? Why? Why are they doing this?"

Because they are a convenient scapegoat to falsely attribute all your problems.

Maybe this woman should consider why her fellow Republicans similarly blame immigrants for problems and put two and two together.

That level of self-awareness gets surgically removed the instant one chooses to identify as a republican.

I think I'd rather kill myself than become a Republican, if I was forced to pick one tbh. My empathy for the common struggle of regular people working to simply live quiet lives is like a core part of what I am, I can't imagine myself without it. I'm not perfect by any means, and I've got some contradictions and biases, but like holy shit I don't know if you could cut that out of my brain without killing me in the process.

Ever wonder who responds to those ads for interviews about how X policy by President X affected them? Well there you have it. This journalist found a long time Californian Republican with a trans child.

The dissonance is here:

A longtime Republican herself, A.W. says she never would have believed her family would need this help. "But we do need it," she says. "We need it really badly right now because my husband is still unemployed."
She says she knew the rule restricting access to transgender care through Medicaid was coming, since it was proposed in December. Still, when it was published, she felt panicked. "The initial just — what are we going to do?"

The article doesn't mention 1) if she voted for trump 2) or his transphobic policies. I am not so sure what else is there to go by, that she “chose a leopard to eat her face.”
