it's funny how since I switched to a google free phone my feeds don't include what I talked about.

well...except when I'm around my wife, which currently has a googled phone.

I don't think I've seen an advertisement for something that I actually want or need for over 10+ years now.

Make that 20+ years here. Hell, 30+ years. I can't remeber ever buying something because I saw a commercial for it. The one thing, maybe, was a CD that I bought after hearing a commercial for it on TV, yeah, about 30+ years ago

I think I only see one or two ads per month... If i open certain tv apps, or see a billboard... 😅
