Pugsley is dressed in a Cub/Boy Scout uniform and practicing his salute in the mirror. His parents, Gomez, and Morticia watch on and one of them comments, "Well, he certainly doesn't take after my side of the family."
This strip made it into the 1964 show, basically an entire episode came from this.
Starting on September 16th i will be doing a rewatch of The Addams Family (1964) series and discussing the episodes here. This coincides with my weekly posting of the original Addams Family strips, and the original airing of the series. The first episode aired 18 September 1964.
