I always felt bad for the original artist, Matt Furie, who fought against his cartoon’s appropriation by the alt-right. The other post says there’s a documentary about his fight called Feels Good Man that I might have to check out. It won a special jury award at Sundance in 2020 and an Emmy in 2021.

The documentary Feels Good Man is about this story. The guy who created Pepe the Frog was upset that the alt-right co-opted his character and so he set off to reclaim him.
