Defense One reported that the PAC-3 ACE’s first flight is not expected until early 2028, with production planned roughly 18 months after that—putting serial manufacturing around mid-2029 if the current schedule holds.

The Attitude Control Motors have been removed, and the ACE will use a less complex seeker. Instead of relying on a kinetic collision to destroy its target, the missile will carry a conventional blast-fragmentation warhead.
