When pressed about the Iran war, a CENTCOM press official threatened to put an Intercept reporter on a “list of people to disregard.”

The CENTCOM official who revealed the existence of the list threatened that this reporter could be added to it for calling the command too often.

This is remarkable given who the reporter is. Nick Turse wrote Kill Anything That Moves…

Turse has described Kill Anything That Moves... (2013) as a history of Vietnamese civilian suffering at the hands of U.S. troops during the Vietnam War. The book is based on archival materials Turse discovered and interviews he conducted with eyewitnesses in the U.S. and Vietnam, including a hundred American Vietnam War veterans.

Highly recommend the book.

I was reading the article, scrolled up to see who “this reporter” was, and was like “no shit!”
