Concerns over European gas reserves drive up prices

There is growing concern over the abnormally low gas stocks in Europe. The price is rising towards its highest level in months. On the leading Dutch futures market for natural gas, the price rose by 5 per cent on Monday before retreating slightly. One megawatt-hour of gas now costs 68.5 euros, representing a 4 per cent increase.
