Why do trains start so much later in France than in Germany in the morning?

They also seem to go to sleep a little earlier. It's probably an easy way to reduce expenses.

Part of it is that the sun rises later there. They are still in the same timezone, but it's been comically expanded:

Another map without flevoland :(

Poldered IJsselmeer = Greater Flevoland

It's a map with all lakes filled in as land, I think Flevoland is safe on this one.

So Switzerland, Paris, Benelux and the Ruhr area are the most trainified regions. Really cool visualization!
