I used to do a ton of lisp work back in college. And later in scientific computing. It always felt different, like solving a problem in math with proofs and such.

I know this is just funhole, but it got me thinking. Maybe ill do some lisp tonight. Dangerous propaganda.

notptr@lemmy.sdf.org · 5 pts · 9d

Lisp is fun. I made a 3d game engine in it and made quakec.

pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org · 3 pts · 8d

Have fun!

I'm not too sure how to spell "the computer" phonetically with a lisp effect, so imagine this was spoken with a lisp:

the computer

I really like the colors here

pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org · 3 pts · 8d

Thanks, girl. Me too. I use more colors in protest.

Thank you for making "Lisp is just the jazz of programming" content

pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org · 4 pts · 8d

My pleasure!

mcz@horp.sciops.net · 4 pts · 9d (9 replies)

You had to install lisp. You merely embraced it, while I was born with it

mcz@horp.sciops.net · 4 pts · 9d (3 replies)

Famously russians these days can't write lisp))))

pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org · 4 pts · 9d (2 replies)

I'm so sorry they did this to them.

pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org · 4 pts · 9d (4 replies)

Oh, is that why you sound so silly?

mcz@horp.sciops.net · 5 pts · 9d (3 replies)

No, it's because of my IQ.

Yesterday a computer science teacher told me "I'm not familiar with functional programming". I laughed. The 32 students in summer school looked at their Mobilek and asked out loud what do "functional" means.

pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org · 1 pts · 5d

i use functions all the time in my rc scripts!
