All comments open when posting a comment

Something that's been bothering me, more than a little since it makes use difficult, is when I post a comment, every single parent comment gets opened and all child comments in the whole post come into view.
I can't remember what that mechanic is called, but I hope I was clear what happens.

It's already annoying enough that mr comment goes to the bottom (instead of the top like in Relay and other Reddit and Fediverse apps) so I have to scroll all the way back to the top, or where I was, to continue reading, but to have everything open up and having to scroll past the entire comment section with every single child comment makes it even worse.

Not to mention that I have the options specifically set that I only see the child comments when tapping an interesting parent comment. Now all of a sudden I see every child comment as well.
