Music is music, why the hate if it reminds me of my childhood. Its like ragging on boomers for listening to music that came out when they were kids, its what they're used to and enjoy listening to

Game Music is as viable as top charting music. After all, a lot of Sega's early aural identity was informed by the popular music in Japan. A lot of game music is cinematic enough that MPR's "YourClassical" curates it into its own internet radio channel with notable movie scores, called "Pixel and Plot". Hell, a good chunk of the amateur remixing community cuts its teeth on OCReMixes.

You know what's funny? People who ask such childish questions "why u like video games (music)?" Instantly stop finding that weird when they find out you're not a cavedweller but make more a month than they do in a year with basically no work at all. Suddenly it's "artsy" and you're "classy" or at worst "eccentric".

Moral of the story? Fuck those facebook-gremlins and their parroted "opinion". Do what you love. I'm >50 and game like a maniac. And if someone dumdum looks down on Mr because "that's for kids!" I just grin and game harder. Be adult elsewhere...
