On reddit every time I open it I see new posts, but lemmy algrothim no matter which way of sorting I choose it shows me the same stuff.
I think this lower exposure of new posts
I think there should be a toggle that applies to all sorting algrothim where it hides posts you stopped at for 1 second while scrolling or opened it.

Almost every lemmy client has a "hide read posts' feature, and if you're getting the same feed results regardless of the sorting you choose, then you're doing something wrong.
New vs. hot give very different feeds., for instance.

I just saw that option on Summit app, thanks
Edit: after changing the feed settings to mark post I scroll by as read, it is still showed in my feed.
There is a floating action button with three dots, tap on that and then enable "hide read"
Lastly, Marking a post as read while it is scroll by i not ideal and I see it as a work around.
It would be better if there was a different metric like viewed or "scrolled by"

I am unsure if there is a setting in the web view, but there are apps that have this option.
Mlem also has a mark read on scroll option.

Summit has an option to hide posts that you scroll by, I didn't know that.

Yes, there is also a "hide read posts option" in web view.

Also if hiding manually is too slow, a simple Ublock Origin filter for hiding liked/disliked posts helps too, though that'd be bound to leave empty spots in the feed.
