Reminds me of the old, politically incorrect, joke about people in some kind of institution for those with intellectual disabilities and poor coordination.
At a group session, the doctor tries to get each patient to clap three times in a row. A few try, and end up like the guy in the comic here. One manages a single clap.
Then one manages, with great effort, to do three in a row.
... and then everyone present gives them a round of applause.
(If this seems relatively tame, it was usually acted out with imitations of the people... yyyeeeah. We don't do that any more.)
