Y'all reckon Boraqchin knows Sitara's true motive all along? And is keeping her alive / around because she deemed Sitara useful to her, for now?

She might have played dumb when Sitara asked that question, indeed...
If she is being used by her hate, which is predictable, the only way to outsmart Boraqchin would be to forgive the Mongols and let go.

💯
And on a higher level: supporting the current leadership of the Mongolians (Ogedai and his followers) - who appears more peaceful compared to Genghis Khan of the previous generation - would lead to fewer wars and fewer repeats of tragedies like Sitara's past.

Totally, Boraqchin seems like the type of person who thinks the goals justifies the means. I can totally see her going into "preventive" war with other nations to keep the stand. Meanwhile the current Khan seems to just want peace.
