Minnesota conversion therapy law faces federal First Amendment lawsuit

A Minnesota law limiting conversion therapy for minors is now facing a federal court challenge.

The lawsuit was filed by True North Legal on behalf of a Christian counseling group. It argues the 2023 law violates counselors’ First Amendment rights by limiting what they can discuss with minors about sexual orientation and gender identity.
