A week ago, I just discovered a bunch of Reddit accounts that I created during the pandemic. They have been sitting, content-less and idle, for the past several years. As soon as I log into one and do anything, I get shadowbanned. None of these accounts get any response to the appeals. This all stems from a ban that I got on my very old, very first Reddit account which got banned TEN YEARS AGO. They msged me telling me they will not lift the ban. Am I just SOL? I have to keep paying for something I did TEN years ago? Note that by shadowbanning me, they have no problems greedily taking my data while telling me that I can't fight back.

as with any abusive relationship, it would be immoral of one to attempt to assist you on continuing that unhealthy path.
maybe look inward, and determine if a place that clearly doesnt want you is worth your time.

It's gotten a lot worse since you were on there. If you use the word hate in any context, that's a ban. Lemmy doesn't move enough for my taste, but I'm not going back to reddit.
