I saw a cat on an RV parked across the way

it seemed like it was looking at me, at the corner closest

and I walked up to them and admired them

up close the RV loomed

at a distance the cat on the RV seems unsurprising

but up close:

how did it get up there?

it must have taken the opportunity presented by a neighboring machine, a series of bold but not impossible leaps, and then it had an entire roof, and it sat poised with me in the nighttime summer sky
