Marijuana Factory Explodes, Causing Two Deaths

Yeah, using butane to extract THC is super dangerous. Crazy that the owner would insist on continuing even after a clear warning from the fire department.

Firefighters working to put out the blaze at the THC extraction company found one victim, Stephen Scott, dead, and a second victim, Michael Newman, who had been injured and later died, according to the affidavit.

On the way to the hospital, Newman told an EMT that the area inside the extraction company was “not ventilated enough” and that “he unplugged something and the building blew up,” according to the affidavit.

And:

A week before the explosion, Fire Marshal Michael Nobles told the company to halt all operations because it had failed a fire inspection, Enzbrenner told Tulsa World. “He basically told them they weren’t allowed to work until they fixed the discrepancies that he listed and they have not done that up to this point.”
