Maritime energy technology company Newlight has completed the first long-range commercial voyage of its hydrogen-hybrid retrofit system, claiming fuel savings of 24% on a Lomar Shipping bulker.
The system was installed on a 57,038 dwt, 199 m vessel and tested over an 8,500 nautical mile voyage from Singapore to Ghana.
