Mind you, she did fuck up, but if you look at the state's (Wyoming) SYG law, the reasoning given for denying the dismissal is flawed at best.
Some states, she would be in a worse situation, but Wyoming has a fairly broad SYG rule.
Saying that she had no reasonable fear for her life is where it falls apart the worst. She absolutely had good reason to fear for her life, and the judge saying otherwise points to bias because if my crippled ass did exactly the same thing as a disabled citizen, I'm confident the motion would have passed, regardless of having kept my hand close to my firearm.
Fuck, that's what they train cops to do for far less sketchy, and those fuckers have body armor.
Point being that if this was a cis woman, it would be some serious fuckery for her to even be charged. If it was a cis man, you might run into a similar finding, for similarly bullshit reasons, but chances are okay that he would have a ruling in his favor.
But! For anyone out there carrying, this is why you train non apparent stances with any form of self defense. Doesn't matter if it's hands or external weapons, you can't risk being seen to behave too ready. This kind of bullshit is why. You "put up your dukes" in the same situation, and it leaves the situation open to interpretation more than if you just stay ready overall.
Mind you, I haven't seen the video, so it could be that she did stay non apparent. I'm basing that off of articles only, so grain of salt needed
