I just want to let everyone know that students in competitive fields like nursing, who are responsible for keeping people alive, are cheating their way through school and getting jobs where they're responsible for the keeping people alive bit above.

This is why we're anti AI. There are very real negative consequences surrounding the use of AI beyond the also real ethical and environmental issues that get more of the spotlight.

Wow, imagine that, the kids using genAI to do their homework for them performed worse. While that seemed obvious before the study even began, it's good to have the data anyway.

Also interesting to see they did find some positive learning outcomes with genAI usage. I'd be wary of genAI use for explaining concepts or tracking learning progression, but maybe my level of caution is a bit too aggressive. Either way, definitely makes sense that it holds true that your usage of any given tool is critical to how helpful it can be.
