I don’t know that slang, I’ll need a translation for it 😅

"It's a wash" means that the positive and negative results of a situation cancel each other out, leaving you with no net gain or loss.

Similar to "breaking even" if you're familiar with that one. :)

Century old saying that means basically "net zero, neither good or bad". Except there is a connotation of disappointment.
