Here is one of my favorite retro Midge Barbies - Surf City Midge from 2001, with the Diva/Midge face sculpt. I found her for a surprisingly low price from a local seller.
She was in perfect condition and still had her original swimsuit:

Unfortunately, her swimsuit is too small around the hips, and it doesn't look good. But the top still works.
I don't have a "before" photo of her hair, but it needed some trimming because the original haircut was very uneven, with two distinct layers. Here are some photos of her swimsuit and new haircut:
Usually, I don't like short skirts on my dolls (or on myself). But for this girl, I had to make a big exception (and for her sister too, whom I'll show later). The skirt is from a local maker, and the top is from Barbie Looks #20, the red-haired Andra (HRM12).
