...and if you’ve reached your limit... you should know that this too shall pass. The EU is tackling the issue of youth mental health by focusing on early intervention, creating safer digital spaces, and fighting stigma. If you or someone you know ever needs a safe space to talk, call:📞116 111📞 It’s a continent-wide network of free, anonymous youth support lines. @EUCommission Show that our German chancellor, who says that we are too lazy, need to work longer, are reporting ill too often and retire too soon. Who thinks that single parents working only part-time is a lifestyle choice and tries to make their lives much harder, after he happily enjoyed a vacation without even reacting to big natural disasters in the country. Or is at least preventing another disaster afterwards.
And he really can't understand, why everybody is so fed up with him.

@EUCommission I would also like to what safer digital spaces look like. I see there is a page on "Learning corners: Children and youth" but it does not link anything that is a "safer digital spaces" for them. Certainly no links here or anything.
To what are you reffering here?

@EUCommission One thing I miss consistently in anything related to mental health and also safe platforms is a diversity of voices that can represent and support a diversity of identities, especially layered ones.
This applies to (young) people who are neurodivergent, belong to ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+, different ability and whatever more.
It is incredibly difficult if not near impossible for those people to find someone who actually understands them, who actually respects that things work a little different for them. This is a problem everywhere but especially outside of the cities and especially in a number of countries.
No help can be just as harmful and destructive as the wrong help.
It feels important to note that those working within the EU also lack diversity. Please use whatever diversity you do have to help inform your proposals and actions. This world does not work the same for everyone.

@EUCommission I think the EU is limited in what they can do about this in individual countries, therefore I appreciate the hotline as a direct service for us citizens.
I just hope, you don't try to regulate the people (like limited time on social media) instead of regulating the platform (stuff like privacy, dark patterns, gambling-like dynamics, promoting destructive stuff (for people and democracy), and so on)
(I assume you talk about social media)

@EUCommission and you post this unironically while allowing google and apple to create what is effectively a mandatory (e.g. good luck using a bank nowadays without android) operating system finetuned for user retention?
Very hypocritical I must say.
