Fountain Pen Work Surface

I made myself a "work tray" from watercolor paper for my fountain pen.

Simple valley and mountain folds every 1/2".

I use a piece of cotton tshirt as a blotter.

I only have one fountain pen, a few nibs and one black ink. So far that's really all I need.

For fun I might end up getting some green-black ink or maybe something salmon colored.

That looks like a Hongdian M2. Solid pen choice to be your only one. It looks like Diamine has an actual Green/Black ink that might work.

That's correct, its the M2 in titanium.

That good to hear about the Diamine because from samples I've seen I do like that one as well as the Sherwood green.

Try Diamine blue black.

It's a lovely combination of deep navy blue and black.

For some reason I gravitate more to green but if I ever do try a blue I'll keep this on the list. Thanks :)

Edit: The website you linked is really good.

It's helped me decide between various inks.

Also Diamine makes a green black ink:

I love a green black, I'm partial to Noodlers Zhivago.
